Services > Dual Listing > Overview
For many years German investors were inhibited by government restraints and their own conservatism. German investors both institutional and private are now actively seeking small to mid-size U.S. companies with large growth potential. The OTC market in Germany, being of a proficient and accommodating organizational structure, has established itself as a successful market platform.
The time is ripe for small to mid-size U.S. public companies to enter the European public markets. European investors prefer to hold on to a stock hoping for the long-term gain. In addition, for the European investor, there is a significant tax benefit for retaining purchased stock for a certain amount of time as opposed to "dumping" it immediately into the market. The absence of investors that immediately sell a company's stock allows for stability in stock price and in turn opportunities for growth.
Companies that apply for a dual listing on both the Berlin Third Segment and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange must first be listed on an internationally recognized stock exchange. The company must be able to provide the Exchange with its latest filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
